Walter Gintz
Walter Frederick Gintz, Jr. was a member of the SHSTC Industrial Arts Department and served as director of the Josey School of Vocational Education. A native of Illinois, Gintz later lived in Nacogdoches, TX and attended Rice University and Oklahoma University. Gintz was later the owner of the Gintz Manufacturing Company, leaving that position to join SHSTC. His wife, Virginia, owned a popular catering business in Huntsville. He died of leukemia in 1960. The Gintz Apartment were named in his honor.
