Loulie Estill
Loulie Sharpe (Sexton) Estill was the wife of SHSU President Harry Estill. She taught at the Masonic Academy in Marshall, Texas. In Huntsville, Estill taught music and literature from 1887 to 1892. In August of that year she married Harry Estill, with whom she had five children. The Loulie Estill Society was named in her honor; the Kappa Delta sorority grew out of this early-1900s organization. A dormitory on the north side of campus was also named in her honor.
