The Sanders Baseball Stadium is part of the Athletics Complex on the eastern edge of campus at the intersection of Bowers Boulevard and Sycamore Avenue.
The baseball stadium complex seats 1,163 spectators and contains additional amenities such as offices, locker rooms and lights - making it the first Bearkat baseball field to allow for night games. The season opener, rained out on February 10, was played February 11, 2006 with the Bearkats winning the first contest in the new stadium over Texas Southern 16-3; they would go on to sweep the series 3-0.
Field dimensions of the ballpark are:
- Left field foul line: 330 feet.
- Left center: 375 feet.
- Center field: 400 feet.
- Right center: 375 feet.
- Right field foul line: 330 feet.
Prior to the 2006 season, Bearkat baseball was played southwest of campus at Holleman Field. It was announced in the project's early stages that once this field was completed that the university planned "to carry the name, Holleman Field, to the new site," but this did not occur. The Bearkat Baseball Complex was renamed in 2007.
