Gidley House was a student residence-turned-office building located south of 21st Street along the east side of Avenue I.

Residence Life classified the two-story small house as a part of the "The Valley"; it was formerly classified as part of "Four South" and "South-Central." The house was identified as one of the Men's Cooperative Homes when its honorary name was approved by the Board of Regents [1].

Beginning in the 1970s the house became the headquarters for the Public Safety Services offices. After the University Police Department relocated to its Sam South location, the house reverted to a student residence.

For two school years starting in 2002 it was the home of Residence Life; the building was left empty when the department moved to the UAC.

In May 2004 the Board of Regents approved its $55,000 demolition due to its poor structural condition. Raven Village was completed on the site in 2006.
