Both King and Elliott Halls were built on land acquired from the heirs of Mrs. Harry May.
The front entrance to Elliott Hall is an architectural rarity on campus. And in case you forget where you are, the building's namesake is engraved atop the circular portico.
Elliott's backside. Not as impressive - it's brick back here, too - but it gives you an idea of the parking limitations for north side residents.

Elliott Hall

Located on the northern side of campus, Elliott Hall is a women-only dormitory that stands at the intersection of Avenue J and Seventeenth Street.

It is nestled in between two others dorms: Belvin-Buchanan and King Halls on land acquired from the heirs of Mrs. Harry May, who operated a boarding house for SHNI students.

A memorial plaque to Frank Cloud, the former director of Housing and Food Services, sits out front the dorm.
