The Chemistry & Forensic Sciences Building is located at the southwestern corner of the intersection of Avenue J and 20th Street.

Spread across the three story, 62,000 square-foot building are classrooms, offices, and laboratories. The building was originally conceived as an addition to the Farrington Building but available space around that building was too limiting; instead, the addition became a separate $18 Million facility a half-block south.

Prior to construction the area was a commuter parking lot and the temporary location of a Barnes and Noble university bookstore.
