Spivey House is located at the northeastern corner of Avenue I and Bowers Boulevard in south-central campus. In the Residence Life naming system Spivey and the three surrounding small houses were classified as "Three East."
Since the early 1990s the house has been used as the Honors Dorm for students enrolled in the honor program.
The houses of Three East were some of the first residences built east of Avenue I. A map from the late-1960s indicates that 20th Street originally ran north of the buildings (in front of Randel House).
