The Northside Dining Facility is a cafeteria building currently in development at the northern edge of campus at the intersection of Bearkat Boulevard and University Avenue.

The structure was first proposed as early as 2007, when it was tentatively planned to be located east of the Student Health Center [1]. In 2008, the Houstonian reported its location had moved and would replace existing structures on Bearkat Boulevard - namely Lawrence and Mitchell Houses - north of Belvin-Buchanan Hall [2].

In March 2010, the SHSU Physical Plant announced that construction would begin approximately April 5.
