Agriculture Center map

The Layer and Breeder Building is one the buildings located at the Agriculture Center along northbound Interstate 45.

The structure housed poultry, specifically layers (chickens raised for egg production) and breeders (chickens raised for selective breeders).

For six years, starting around 1988-89, the eastern end of the building was used for alligator research.

The building has not been in use since the mid-1990s.
