DeWitte Holleman

One of the university’s earliest baseball diamonds was located on the eastern edge of Pritchett Field, area now used as part of the Sam Houston Museum grounds.

In 1948, a new baseball field was constructed southwest of the main campus on the College Farm Road, leading toward Interstate 45.

Holleman Field seats 700 and features a grass playing field with 300 feet to left field, 410 to center, and 340 feet to right field.

The new home of Bearkat baseball, the Sanders Baseball Stadium, opened in 2005 east of Bowers Stadium.
