Elliott Hall is a women-only dormitory at the intersection of Avenue J and Seventeenth Street.

The dorm was built on land acquired from the heirs of Mrs. Harry May [1], who operated a boarding house for SHNI students. The 1941 Alcalde says the residents of the new dormitory “enjoy bed rooms finished in varying color schemes. The dining room of Belvin Hall is connected to the new dormitory and the girls in both halls use its facilities. These dormitories compare favorably with any in the state.”

A memorial plaque to Frank Cloud, a former director of Housing and Food Services, is out front the dorm.

Elliott Hall Elliott's rear entrance. Not as impressive - it's brick back here, too - but it gives you an idea of the parking limitations for north side residents.
