After using various home fields around Huntsville for decades, the Bearkat Softball program moved to their new, permanent stadium in 2006, located on the eastern edge of campus at the intersection of Bowers Boulevard and Sycamore Avenue as part of the Sam Houston Athletics Complex.
With a seating capacity of just over 400 spectators, the complex includes dressing areas, indoor hitting cages, and offices. The Bearkats christened the opening of the stadium by winning their season opener over Louisiana Tech 11-3.
