Art Building A is one of seven buildings that make up the Art complex, located on the southwest corner of the main campus along Sam Houston Avenue.
This building is used for print and ceramic classes and houses the Students of Fine Arts (SOFA) Gallery.
University post office functions were moved to a temporary building north of the art complex in August 2006.
