S. Calhoun Wilson
Samuel Calhoun Wilson was a professor in Agricultural education (1909-1939) and was the first chair of the Agriculture Department. A long-time and popular educator, researcher, and author, he was once honored as "the father of vocational agriculture in Texas."

His son, Logan Wilson (1907-1990) later served as president of the University of Texas at Austin.

The Wilson Building was named in his honor. A stained glass window in Old Main was presented by the class of 1941 in his memory.

The Wilson-Warner Scholarship was established in 1994 as a memorial to S.C. Wilson, Logan Wilson, and S.R. Warner.
