Clifton Parkhill was SHNI's first Business Manager, serving from 1916 to 1934.
Parkhill studied Business Administration courses at Tyler Commercial College and accepted a position as assistant county treasurer in Hugo, Oklahoma after completion of the courses. Parkhill also was active in the community by serving as a leader of Boy Scouts, being a member of Kiwanis Club and acting in various capacities in the Baptist Church.
Parkhall House carries his name.
