| William Creager was a native of Cleburne, Texas and received degrees from Baylor University and the University of Texas in Austin. He was employed at SHSTC as a professor of Education and the Dean of Men (1947-1963). He assisted the Caballeros, one of the men's social groups, in becoming affiliated with the national Sigma Chi fraternity.
The Creager House was named in his honor.
