Alpha Chi Omega House

The Alpha Chi Omega House is one of the eight houses on Sorority Hill, located on the north side of campus.

The building originally housed members of the Eclectics club, one of the literary societies that was "in continuous existence since the 1890's," says the 1950 Alcalde. While coed at first, membership was strictly women-only by 1916. In 1959, the students of the club became charter members of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority.
