Academic Building One (AB1)

Campus growth pushed the borders of the university eastward during the late 1960s, with the creation of the Math and Foreign Languages Building. Both program have long moved elsewhere and today the three-story Academic Building One houses a number of programs including Political Science, Sociology, and Computer Services.

Other buildings on campus, long used for specialized departments and programs, were christened in subsequent years as generic academic buildings, among them AB2 and AB3.
